Who Is Running For President In 2024
The 2020 election is still far off, but it’s never too early to start thinking about who might run for president in 2024. If you want to get an early start on your political career or would like to see who’s running, here are the top ten candidates who are most likely to be elected:
Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris is a senator from California. She is a Democrat and the first black woman to be elected to the Senate, serving as Attorney General of California before being elected to the Senate. As a member of the Judiciary Committee, Harris has been vocal about her support for gun control measures and criminal justice reform policies.
Pete Buttigieg
Pete Buttigieg is a Democrat who has served as mayor of South Bend, Indiana, since 2017. He’s also the first openly gay presidential candidate to run for president in 2024.
John Kasich
John Kasich is a Republican who served as the governor of Ohio from 2011 to 2018. He was also considered a candidate for president in 2016, but dropped out after losing all but one of his primary races and failing to win any delegates.
John Kasich has been described as moderate by some political pundits but criticized by others who say he supports gun control measures that are too strict or lenient regarding immigrants.
Beto O’Rourke
Beto O’Rourke is a former US House of Representatives member and the Democratic candidate for the US Senate in Texas. He lost to Ted Cruz in 2018, but his campaign was one of the most popular and successful political efforts during that year’s midterm elections.
He was born in El Paso, Texas, on March 2nd, 1972. O’Rourke attended Columbia University before earning a law degree from Yale Law School in 2004—the same year as Barack Obama did so—and passed bar exams both times he took them: first with an average score over 90%, then 99%. He also completed Harvard Law School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP), which provides specialized training for corporate executives and board members seeking advanced skills needed for leadership positions within their organization(s).
In addition to being an accomplished lawyer now working at Baker Botts LLP law firm based out of Houston area cities, including San Antonio, TX, where current president Donald Trump lives part-time during weekends while working full-time hours during weekdays Monday thru Friday, 9 am-5 pm Monday thru Friday 9 pm – 6 am Saturday 5 pm-12 am Sunday 10 am pm closed Monday 1 pm closed Tuesday 2 pm closed Wednesday 7 pm closed Thursday 8 am noon 3 pm 4 pm 5 pm 6 am 7 am 8 am 9noon 10 pm 11 am midnight.
Tom Perez
Tom Perez, former labour secretary and current chairman of the DNC, is running for president in 2024. He has been in the news recently for being the chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
He was also a presidential candidate against Donald Trump in 2020 but lost an incredible number of votes.
Bernie Sanders
Bernie Sanders is a senator from Vermont and the former runner-up in the 2016 presidential election. He was also the first Jewish person to run for president, so he’s got that going.
Sanders has been an outspoken advocate for democratic socialism, which means that he believes government should be responsible for providing health care, higher education, housing and food security to its citizens—and equity between men and women (men being people).
These are people who are running for US president in 2024.
- Hillary Clinton, Democrat
- Joe Biden, Democrat
- Donald Trump and John Kasich are running as Independents.
- Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York holds the office of governor.
Conclusion
We’re excited to see what kind of candidates will run for the 2020 presidential election. The most important thing is who will be president, not necessarily who wins.
