The human body has the ability to survive without food for short periods of time. However, it is not possible for the human body to live without any nutrition at all. Nutrition is required by all living organisms in order to carry out their life processes and grow.
Food Provides Energy
Food provides energy to carry out life processes. The food we eat is the fuel that powers all of our body’s functions, and it’s also used to make new cells, tissues, and organs. Our bodies need nutrients in order for them to operate normally.
Tissue Building And Repair
Tissue building and repair require energy, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Stuff building also needs vitamins and minerals to make these materials available to the cells that need them.

Next comes the “metaphase” where these replicated cells begin dividing into two daughter cells each with only half their DNA content — one from each parent (the resulting offspring will have twice as many chromosomes as both parents combined). Finally comes the actual formation of specialized tissues or organs like skin or bone. During this stage, new proteins form as well as additional genetic material is required for making these specialized tissues/organs
