Word On Well Street
Wellness is a buzzword that’s been around for decades, but it’s still a relatively new concept. The definition of wellness varies from person to person and even from city to city. So what does wellness mean? How do you define self-care? And what would you like to see a change in the way people think about wellness? In this blog post, I’ll answer these questions and more!
What does wellness mean?
Wellness is a state of being, a way of life, and a way of thinking. It’s also the balance between mind, body, and spirit.
Wellness is happiness—it’s when you feel good about yourself and your place in this world.
How does your community define wellness?
The community defines well-being. Wall Street is a place where people come together to live well, learn how to do so, and share their experiences with others. The definition of wellness varies from person to person, but it can be broadly defined as being able to live your life in balance with all the activities that make up your day-to-day existence: work, family, and friends; physical activity (including exercise); healthy eating habits; mental health issues like depression or anxiety; social relationships such as friendship groups or support groups for those struggling with mental health problems.
How does your own definition compare? Have you ever asked yourself if there are any gaps between what you value most about yourself (your sense of self-worth) vs how others perceive you? Do these two things match up really well? Or do they conflict sometimes – maybe even often – which means that one might win out over another at times?
What would you like to see a change in the way people think about wellness?
The world would be a better place if we all had the courage to talk about our mental health, physical health, and spiritual well-being. We are more likely to reach out for help when we know that someone else has been through similar experiences. If you or someone you know is struggling with depression or anxiety, please know that there is help available. If you need support yourself and want someone who will listen without judgment or pressure then I would love an opportunity to work with you.
How do you define self-care?
Self-care is a way of caring for yourself. It can be anything that makes you feel good about yourself and helps you maintain mental health or relieve stress.
Self-care doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming, but it does take planning and commitment to make sure it happens regularly.
How do you practice self-care? What are your best tips for practicing self-care?
Self-care is a critical part of maintaining mental health. If you’re experiencing symptoms, it’s important to find ways to cope with them and treat yourself well in the process.
- Talk to a therapist: If you are struggling with depression or anxiety, talk with your doctor or another professional counselor who can help guide you through how best to manage your situation. This can be especially helpful if there’s something specific going on right now (like an upcoming big event) that makes it difficult for you to focus on anything else besides what’s happening right now.
- Meditate: Meditation is one way that many people practice self-care; however, there are other methods as well—you just need something that works for YOU! Try using apps like Headspace or Calm app on iOS devices; these apps offer guided meditations designed specifically around different topics like anxiety relief and stress management.* Exercise regularly: When exercising consistently throughout the day (and especially at night), helps keep cortisol levels low which improves sleep quality by reducing inflammation levels caused by exercise.* Eat well: Eating healthy foods will not only help keep us feeling energized throughout the day but also give us energy when we need it most during times when we may feel tired due to our daily routine which includes working long hours outside of home/workplace etcetera…
Do you stay active to relieve stress or help with a mental health condition?
- Exercise is a good way to relieve stress.
- Exercise can help with mental health conditions.
- Exercising in nature is better than exercising in a gym because it’s more natural and you don’t have to worry about other people staring at your sweatpants while they’re doing their leg lifts or triceps curls on the bench press machine.
Some people have trouble finding time to exercise because they don’t get enough sleep or have busy schedules; others find it hard to motivate themselves once they start exercising regularly (which I know firsthand). If this sounds like the case for you, try setting aside some time each day during which no one will bother you—maybe even just 30 minutes! You’ll feel healthier and more energized than ever before once things get going!
Wellness means different things to different people.
Wellness means different things to different people. For one, wellness can represent an overall state of mind and body. It’s about feeling good, having energy, and being able to live your life with purpose—in other words, it’s about feeling like yourself rather than someone else.
But wellness is also a journey that each person takes on their own terms, in accordance with their own needs and goals for themselves. It’s often described as a personal journey where we seek out our own balance through self-care practices like exercise or meditation; sometimes we focus our efforts toward health issues such as eating right or sleeping well; other times we may take more direct action by getting involved in social causes (like volunteering at an animal shelter) that directly impact the lives around us while at the same time helping others feel connected too! Everyone’s journey is unique so no two paths will ever look exactly alike even though they may be guided by similar principles such as kindness towards oneself first before moving outward into others.”
